God's perspective tends to be way different from mine. However, it seems that some of the Bible verses I learned as a child come to mind just when my life has turned to total chaos. Isa 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways." Isn't that the truth! As I look for order in my life, I see chaos, I see hard times and I see what I perceive to be failure. However, I've lived long enough now to have seen God turn each of those perspectives upside down, bringing beauty from my ashes and strength from my weekness. Praise God that he has the power, the mercy and the grace to continue his work in me. What a grace and encouragement in Phil.1:4 ". . .being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." As I am being transformed into the image of Christ, I press into his promise of no more sorrow, no more pain, no more tears or fears. When Christ comes to gather us home, I will be ready. Thank God!

THANK YOU for sharing, Janet! How beautiful, and how true--we often miss the simplicity of Christ with all the anxious fretting, with the how-do-I-perform junk. But you nailed it!

Love in HIM!

A few hours later ... as I embraced this painful moment, God met me there. I did the things I needed to do, and in the middle of it all, He had some beautiful surprises for me. In the middle of one of the hardest things I've ever faced, I felt like I was kissed by the Lord. It was a special time together - the best date I've ever had! I came out of it glowing from head to toe. The circumstances are still the same - incredibly difficult - but something in my heart changed tonight, by the Holy Spirit. And now I know I can walk through this, one step at a time, finding God's love in the midst of it. It's gonna be worth it. It's already worth it. Thank You, God.

It's great truth to know that we are just passing through this land on our way "Home" and by the time we reach our destination we will be the perfect creation He created. Gotcha covered.

Went to Sis. Ercenia's (Bro. Ron's sister) women's retreat last night in Batesville. Awesome service. She finished praying for people at 11:30 p.m. On the way home there was such a spirit of prayer. There was an opening to share your need and all four of us united in "faith" believing for a total, speedy healing. God is in control and we "are/were" healed by His stripes. We know the healing is for now, while on earth, because there will be no sickness in Heaven. We are in total agreement for the completion of this mircle this weekend. Love ya, Janie

Right on. Prayer is the first step, thus making it an action. Prayer is waht sets up the changes that need to be made.."prayer changes things." So, prayer is the catylst that sets the changes into movement. In other words, you might say I agree. Love ya, Janie

My experiences with prayer in action are (1) to ask the LORD to speak through me (especially if something needs to be said immediately, as He's opened the situation) and (2) to ask Him to guide me, then to step out and TRUST that, if I start to go a wrong way, He (Who is a loving, protective Father!) WILL correct my steps and ALWAYS lead me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. AMEN!
