Christian Inner Healing
If I had to name just one experience that had the biggest impact on my life, it would be Elijah House School for Prayer Ministry. Jesus met me in Elijah House and changed my life forever. He helped me lay things at the Cross that I didn't need to carry any longer. He opened my eyes and my heart to His truth. He freed me from bondage to fear and self-hatred and the prison of lies I was living in. He brought freedom, peace, and joy! He redeemed and restored my life. He blessed me with a fullness of life and joy that I never thought was possible this side of Heaven.
What is the Elijah House experience? It's an intensive prayer ministry course, in which you first receive ministry and inner healing, and then learn how to minister healing to others. It is based solely on Biblical laws and Holy Spirit-led prayer. It is everything the Lord has promised us in Isaiah 61:1-4. Read more to learn if Elijah House might be for you.
I completed Elijah House I at Dahlonega United Methodist Church in Spring 2008 and I completed Elijah House II in Spring 2010. I also completed a prayer ministry internship with Tree of Life Prayer Ministry & Training Center in Dahlonega, Georgia and now serve on a team that helps with prayer ministry, Elijah House classes and Christian inner healing retreats.
God also inspired me to create a course to teach these powerful, life-changing Bible principles to youth in a bootcamp weekend called Revolution.
Here you can read my Elijah House testimony that I wrote when I completed Elijah House I. That was just the beginning! Jesus has worked with me daily, hourly since then, to continue His awesome transformation of my life. I am so humbled and grateful, and constantly overwhelmed by His goodness and faithfulness, His power and love.
As I have continued to receive prayer ministry over the years, I have many more testimonies to share. I have started to share them here - in the Testimonies section below - and will continue to add more.
God is amazing and He loves us so much!
Testimonies of Inner Healing from the Lord Jesus
The prayer ministry sessions I refer to, in the testimonies I will be sharing on this page, took place mostly with a trained prayer minister facilitating. The prayer minister helps me invite Jesus to speak to my heart, and to show me His presence in a whole new way, in a way that is heart-changing and life-changing. We don't go digging in the past; we look at things in my life today, things that stand between me and a deeper relationship with God; we ask God to shed light on those things; we ask Him to replace the lies I've believed, in my heart, with His truth. As a result of these encounters with the presence of the Lord, directed to these places in my heart that are in need of healing, I am changed inside and out. I am able to step more completely into my identity in Christ.
Some of the testimonies I will share on this page took place outside of a formal prayer ministry session, between God and myself. However, most of these are within the setting of a prayer ministry session with a trained prayer minister facilitating. This is part of the way God works within the Body of Christ, bringing us into fellowship; it's also part of our confessing our sins to one another (James 5:16); and by participating together, we ensure that we will not boast of our ability to heal ourselves, but rather we will recognize our dependence on God, and we will allow ourselves to be loved to life by the Body of Christ. Also, a trained prayer minister can help us separate truth from lies, and keep us from falling back on our head knowledge, facilitating instead a heart encounter with God.
I am sharing these prayer ministry testimonies here because I want to share the love of Christ with those who don't know how deep or how life-altering His love is. These sessions do not offer a formula for healing. Every prayer ministry session is as unique as the individual receiving ministry, and God does things differently every time. He works in the way that brings His very best to the person receiving ministry. These testimonies are not a formula, nor do they offer specific answers to any similar situation. They are also not a substitute for your need to ask the Lord to speak directly to your heart, and for you to have a heart encounter with Christ. The only general conclusions you can draw from these testimonies are that Jesus is all-powerful and all-loving, that God is in the restoration business, and that if we invite Jesus to shine His light and speak His truth into our hearts, He will.
Some of these testimonies may seem "wild" but read them carefully, and you will see that there is no regression psychology, no hypnosis, no visualization, no power of suggestion - only a Holy Spirit-led encounter with Christ that lines up with the Word of God and the nature of God. The effectiveness and the truth of these encounters are seen in the fruit of a changed heart and a transformed life.
In sharing these testimonies, I'm not suggesting that prayer ministry is the only means of transformation. God has many ways of bringing transformation to our hearts. He is infinitely creative. The reason I'm sharing these testimonies is that prayer ministry is one of the most significant ways God has ministered to me, and I can't not share something that has changed my life so radically, brought so much peace, and made Jesus so real in my heart.
Please read these testimonies in the spirit in which I offer them - pointing the way to Christ's transforming love. The rest is between you and Him.

"So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord — who is the Spirit — makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image." -- II Corinthians 3:18 (NLT)
