Words of Jesus
Jesus is everything to me. He's my Savior, my Redeemer, my Creator, my Healer, my Comforter, my Strength, my Joy, my Brother, my King, my Greatest Love, and my Best Friend.
Here are some of the words Jesus spoke (from the Holy Bible, New Living Translation). I love to read Jesus' words often. His words bring life and healing. His words paint a picture of Who God is. His words tell us who God created us to be.
Let Jesus speak these words to you. Speak them out loud over yourself. Pray them to God. Pray them for others. You will be blessed!
JESUS said, "God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs." - Matthew 5:3-10
JESUS said, "If you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God." - Matthew 5:23-24
JESUS said, "Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For He gives His sunlight to both the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust alike." - Matthew 5:44-45
JESUS said, "If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins." - Matthew 6:14-15
JESUS said, "Don't worry about these things, saying, 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need." - Matthew 6:31-33
JESUS said, "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." - Matthew 7:7
JESUS said, "Not everyone who calls out to me, 'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter." - Matthew 7:21
JESUS said, "Anyone who listens to My teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock." - Matthew 7:24-25
JESUS said, "Healthy people don't need a doctor - sick people do." Then He added, "Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: 'I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.' (Hosea 6:6) For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners." - Matthew 9:12-13
JESUS said, "Don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell." - Matthew 10:28
JESUS said, "What is the price of two sparrows - one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows." - Matthew 10:29-31
JESUS said, "Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." - Matthew 11:28-30
JESUS said, "Anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven." - Matthew 18:4
JESUS said, "Where two or three gather together as My followers, I am there among them." Matthew 18:20
JESUS said, "Those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." Matthew 23:12
JESUS said, "This is My blood, which confirms the covenant between God and His people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many." - Matthew 26:28
JESUS said, "Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!" - Matthew 26:41
JESUS said, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:20
JESUS said, "Anything is possible if a person believes." - Mark 9:23
JESUS said, "Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else." - Mark 9:35
JESUS said, "If anyone gives you even a cup of water because you belong to the Messiah, I tell you the truth, that person will surely be rewarded." - Mark 9:41
JESUS said, "Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned." - Mark 16:16
JESUS said, "Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don't try to get them back. Do to others as you would like them to do to you." - Luke 6:30-31
JESUS said, "You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate." - Luke 6:36
JESUS said, "Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven." - Luke 6:37
JESUS said, "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full - pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured onto your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back." - Luke 6:38
JESUS said, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." - Luke 7:50
JESUS said, "The seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God's Word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest." - Luke 8:15
JESUS said, "I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don't rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven." - Luke 10:18-20
JESUS said, "When you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don't worry about how to defend yourself or what to say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said." - Luke 12:11-12
JESUS said, "Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will be also." - Luke 12:33-34
JESUS said, "There is joy in the presence of God's angels when even one sinner repents." - Luke 15:10
JESUS said, "If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mullberry tree, 'May you be uprooted and thrown into the sea,' and it would obey you!" - Luke 17:6
JESUS said, "If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it." - Luke 17:33
JESUS said, "This poor widow has given more than all the rest of them. For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has." - Luke 21:3-4
JESUS said, "Unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God ... I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. John 3:3,5-6
JESUS said, "Anyone who believes in God's Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn't obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God's angry judgment." - John 3:36
JESUS said, "God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." - John 4:24
JESUS said, "Those who listen to My message and believe in God who sent Me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life." - John 5:24
JESUS said, "No wonder you can't believe! For you gladly honor each other, but you don't care about the honor that comes from the one who alone is God." - John 5:44
JESUS said, "This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the One He has sent." - John 6:29
JESUS said, "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." - John 8:32
JESUS said, "My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from Me, for My Father has given them to Me, and He is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand. The Father and I are one." - John 10:27-30
JESUS said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in Me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in Me and believes in Me will never ever die." - John 11:25-26
JESUS said, "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in Me. There is more than enough room in My Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with Me where I am." - John 14:1-3
JESUS said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me." - John 14:6
JESUS said, "If you love Me, obey My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth." - John 14:15-17
JESUS said, "I will not abandon you as orphans - I will come to you." - John 14:18
JESUS said, "Those who accept My commandments and obey them are the ones who love Me. And because they love Me, My Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal Myself to each of them." - John 14:21
JESUS said, "I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid. Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved Me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am. I have told you these things before they happen so that when they do happen, you will believe." - John 14:27-29
JESUS said, "I have loved you even as the Father has loved Me. Remain in My love. When you obey My commandments, you remain in My love, just as I obey My Father's commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!" - John 15:9-11
JESUS said, "This is My commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are My friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn't confide in his slaves. Now you are My friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me." - John 15:12-15
JESUS said, "You didn't choose Me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using My name." - John 15:16
JESUS said, "You haven't done this before. Ask, using My name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy." - John 16:24
JESUS said, "Then you will ask in My name. I'm not saying I will ask the Father on your behalf, for the Father Himself loves you dearly because you love Me and believe that I came from God." - John 16:26-27
JESUS said, "You believe because you have seen Me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing Me." - John 20:29
Before His death and resurrection, Jesus prayed for ALL believers. This is one of the most beautiful prayers ever spoken. He prayed this for you.
JESUS said, "I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in Me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one - as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe You sent Me. I have given them the glory You gave Me, so they may be one as We are one. I am in them and You are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me and that You love them as much as You love Me. Father, I want these whom You have given Me to be with Me where I am. Then they can see all the glory You gave Me because You loved Me even before the world began! O righteous Father, the world doesn't know You, but I do; and these disciples know You sent Me. I have revealed You to them, and I will continue to do so. Then Your love for Me will be in them, and I will be in them." - John 17:20-26
