My Journey
I grew up very active in the Church, praying and singing and worshiping God with all my heart. I was passionately in love with Jesus and wanted more than anything to be like Him, my wonderful Brother.
As I grew older, I made some bad choices. I let myself get in bondage to fear and self-hatred; I surrounded myself with people who didn't put the Lord first; I listened to all the lies the world said about me. I was in a bad place, but God heard my cries for help; He protected me through illness, poverty and abuse.
When I finally reached rock bottom and cried out, "Abba, I surrender!" He lifted me out of that place, and set me on the beautiful path He had prepared all along. Then He began to comfort, heal, lead me to repentance and forgiveness, teach, redeem, restore, and surround me with His love and His loving family.
I am overwhelmed by all that He has done in just three short years. I'm a different person, inside and out. I have all of His healing, His promises, His peace, His joy! I have a brand new life!
I'm hoping this winter to spend some time curled up with God, writing about the incredible things He's done. As I write, I'll share with you. Everything He has done for me, He will do for everyone who seeks Him. God is so faithful and good!
